I still remember Danzig as a skinny guy that just put everything out there on the line. He’s a great front man. Forever in my mind. He once pulled the E string off his guitar because he knew he didn’t need it. Punk to the enth degree!

I've revisited my box sets. The Misfits--what's not to love? But after reviewing Samhain with a familiarized ear, holy $hit. Once you realize the original blueprint that made those songs tick, you see that Danzig is a genre all to himself. Thanks for the kick ass music, Glenn! Bon Jovi sucks!

I know everyone is saying it but it really is so cool seeing Glen play guitar. I know he played on the albums and wrote the music for Samhain and the misfits but I have never seen him play. Live with a band at least. The guy is an amazing prolific songwriter.

Was at a Danzig show in St Louis wearing a samhain T-shirt and at the end of the show I yelled archangel for an encore but Mr Danzig said he had a cold and couldn't do an encore. I tore my shirt off and threw it at him. He walked offstage never to return. As a fan I was heartbroken. Thought this guy was tough. Anyway I still listen to his old music because it's great shit. Just not impressed with the man himself.

As a rule, most bands lose their edge as they get older, especially punk bands, their live shows get a bit sloppy, they kind of phone it in...people are just happy to see them play, they don't seem to care if they are old and slow....The Damned don't follow this rule...

I'll tell you something a lot of assholes make fun of Danzig and have a lot of laughs at this man's expense. That being said when every other band is releasing the same old formulaic songs you can count on Glenn Danzig to put out some interesting kick ass music. From the misfits up to Danzig all his bands have some kick ass awesome tunes to offer. I've been jamming to Samhain first record initium and Archangel is so badass!!!
